Kind of your essence?
Replacing the seals are
Rows of sailboats
Progress is understood
As long as it's progressive
And not aggressive
The East Wind Bookstore
Is still there
China has advanced
Chinatown has not
The Northern star
Our point of reference
The hometown to look back on
A fair priced apple there
Is the best I have tasted for a long while
Maximum profit squeezes out
The sweetness of the apple
And the juice of life
On the side walk
Inscribed "Jack Kerouac"
Was that Jack's imagination
Yours or mine ?
I did not sip any
Of your new wine
All the same
Was intoxicated by old friendship
uninterrupted by time
Woke up this morning
The sunlight looks the same
But a little brighter
My steps a little lighter
