It is dire straits, which means a state of extreme distress or a bad or
difficult situation or state of affairs. People translated the band's name to "kong bu hai
xia" (sorry, cannot type Chinese in company), which is completely wrong.
Actually Dire Straits = Mark Knopfler. Without Mark Knopfler, Dire Straits
is nothing.
