上周周三美国ABC电视台在全美播放了有史以来第一部反映华人生活的电视剧＜Fresh
Off The Boat＞（初来乍到），次日纽约大报（Huff Post)邀请部分人士讨论，参加人
员有该剧导演Melvin Mar, 林书豪纪录片＜林疯狂＞（Linsanity)导演Chris Chen 和
华人歌手AlanZ（R&B/Pop Artist)等。本周今天晚上（2月10日）播放。华人顶起。

It ain't reflecting a typical Chinese immigrant family. Cant complain
cuz the producer himself is a banana. I saw the first episode, still very
stereotypical (stinky food, fighting in the mkt and whatnot) and still
sucking up to American audience about this dream and that dream while
American themselves probably don't believe in it anymore. That said,
still good to see a Chinese producer kick their show off on a major
broadcasting network.

Fresh off the Boat，有人译作“初来乍到”，是有上面提到的stereotyping,可我觉
得看过的两集很好，毕竟是情景喜剧。至少是一个很好的开始。我都多年不看电视剧了
，不过这部剧准备看下去。
A show featuring an Asian family in itself is significant and refreshing. I
also watched a talk back show hosted by a Chinese American journalist Jeff
Huang with special guests including tiger mom Amy Chua and a female Asian
hip-hop singer. Very interesting too.
