请教一个Ubuntu不出声音的问题

请教一个Ubuntu不出声音的问题# Linux - Linux 操作系统

近期装了media ubuntu源里的Skype；某次关机有两个东西shutdown不掉，其中一个是b
luetooth（我机器不带任何bluetooth设备），强行关了电源。感觉两件事应该没什么联
系。
然后最近再开机就不出任何声音了，从命令行执行rhythmbox或者mplayer都不输出有错
误信息；进度调照样走；就是没有声音出来。没开音箱、静音这些低级错误都查过了；
新建一个用户试验也是没有声音。Google过，根据某个网页的指导试了重装声卡模块也
没有用。启动到Windows下面是正常的。
请问一下还有什么可能的办法找原因啊？

对了还用wine试着跑过两次CS，没成功但是导致X重启了两次。其它可能导致问题的操作
再也想不起来了。

maybe the ubuntu update messed up your sound driver. try old kernels.

I disabled it after I installed my system. I never let the auto update run.

live CD 启动有声音吗？

I haven't tried this. And the CD is in my office.
Use this to exclude hardware problems? I reboot to Windows and everything is
fine.

make sure the kernel of live CD support your hardware.
sometimes kernel update messed up. if it is not kernel problem, then
it might also be the problem of the corrupted files. sometimes it happens.

but how to figure the corrupted ones and restore them to working files?

you got to be really lucky to get some corrupted files
running the system.

thank you guys for your attention.
now i figured out it's a known bug of ubuntu 8.10. sometimes the volume
control devices might be changed to mute. this is the case for me.
everything is mute. i only changed "master" back to normal but not others.
it turns out that i also need to change "PCM" back to normal, though i don't
know what it is used for....
