咱家的485从TSC转到NSC,昨天又收到了RFE.对要补的材料有点疑问。要求补充2007年 二月后的身份,雇用的相关文件。07年二月去日本开过一次会,出境和入境时都是F1身 份,没有身份GAP,相关的I-20, 签证等也都在485申请的原始文件中。不知为何对这个 时间点产生疑问,要求补件。有没有相似情况的朋友鉴定一下,这样的RFE严重否,需 要注意些什么?谢过!原文如下: Submit documentary evidence of all nonimmigrant status granted to you since your last lawful admission to the U.S. on February 11, 2007. Please also submit evidence that any and all employment since your last admission has been authorized by USCIS. Such evidence may include, but is not limited to: Copies of both sides of your form I-94 Arrival/Entry Document; Copies of both sides of your form I-20A-B/I-D(F-1 students and dependents); Copies of both sides of your form IAP-66/DS-2019 (J-1 exchange visitors and dependents); Copies of any form I-797 approval notice/notice of action; Copies of the pages in your passport which show U.S. visas, Service admission stamps or other endorsements, to include the passport identity pages; Copies of any and all employment authorization document (EADs) issued to you by USCIS.
Hotel in Cornell is very expensive, but rental apartment is not. If you have relocation package, no problem to stay in hotel for several days. I remember it's not that hard to apply to on-campus housing if you are a phd , not sure about postdoc. I personally think Lansing apartment complex is nice.

呵呵,看对什么人吧,吃软不吃硬的那种。同事最欣赏我的一点就是“don't take the crap from anyone"。 mm好像在美的生活历练还不够吧,要能屈能伸啊,面包总是会有的。一开始我也是学文 的,奖学金很少,做GA只能抵学费,所以打过好几份工,什么餐馆打电话口译笔译学校 图书馆cafeteria等等,还给一个孤寡老太搬家贴墙纸,蛮有意思的,就是比较占时间 。你不妨去附近的学校学生中心或者超市广告栏看看,可能有人会贴找student movers 之类的小广告。你的老美房东要是人好,可以让他们帮帮忙。我很久以前一个房东是中 学老师,让我去监考SAT,两天四五个小时大概两百多吧,要了我SSN教育部就发了支票 ,我当时还老担心移民局会找麻烦,呵呵。总之,路还是很多的,多利用internet创收 ,能省不少力。
