请教 什么 是 operations strategist ?
一个 recruiter email me , 说是 top IB :
Operations Strategies
The Operations Strategies team builds reporting tools and quantitative
models around back-office risks such as unconfirmed trades, settlement fails
, and collateral disputes. The team integrates data from all product
categories (securities, derivatives, loans) in order to build a gestalt view
of the firm's risks.
Requirements:
o Interest in developing a deep understanding of operations risks, controls,
and workflows
o Experience with applied statistics, machine learning, data mining, and/or
business intelligence
o Must enjoy turning qualitative/human processes into hard/quantitative
numbers.
o Must enjoy coding, though applicants need not be hard-core C++ developers.
好像 后台 support, 跟 finance 关系 不大,
what is meaning of "The team integrates data from all product categories (
securities, derivatives, loans) in order to build a gestalt view of the firm
's risks." ?
但是 又不像 financial model risk management .
请 给指点一下.

最近市场上有些比较好的房(主要是内外维护好,并且厨房卫生间更新过),要价比zillow估的高5万以上,难道最近几年做了内装修和换屋顶之类的房子就可以多叫价这么多么?担心出价高了太吃亏,出价低了(比如砍掉几万)人家又不理,真是很难抉择。

zillow反映的是均价,被周围房子成交价影响,你可以在zillow估价上加上房主的
upgrade,然后多看几个房子基本就有数了。

zillow估的高5万以上,难道最近几年做了内装修和换屋顶之类的房子就可以多叫价这
么多么?担心出价高了太吃亏,出价低了(比如砍掉几万)人家又不理,真是很难抉择。

If anything, Zillow is over priced. The actual price should be at least 10%
lower.

俺家的zillow是高于购买价不少。

Not sure of others but for me:

people actually paid for similiar condos near by in the past few months. The
price also ignores any cost on selling place, like broker fees and taxes.
Because Zillow relies on public data which has a few months lag, in a
downward market, it has to be over priced.
2. I recently bought a house. The price I paid excluding taxes, is 14% lower
than Zillow estimate. The house is in average condition of the area.
I found the value accessor provided by Chase is more realistic.

I saw most of asking prices are much much higher than Zillow price.

可以说zillow估价毫无意义!当然你要觉得正负10%-20%都有参考价值的话,那是另一回
事.真正有参考价值的是同一区域房子最近成交价格.

我感觉Chase的估价偏低,特别如果附近有个Short Sale卖的低价出现,Chase的股价会
一下低很多,但事实上Market价格不会这么低,我至少看见3个这样的例子
