Kruger,
FHA is the only loan at present that you can qualify for as a Non Permanent
Resident Alien. Also, FHA does not have any pre-payment penalty so you may
pay down or pay off your loan at anytime with NO penalty.

find a local broker or lender. no need to go to the bank

如果只pay 5% down的话，就只有FHA了。
H1B当然可以做conventional loan了，不用理BOA了，转别家银行做吧。
他们offer的rate很好么？
