Hi, I am wondering if there is big difference for loan rate (for 15 year fixed) if I borrow 170K
vs 200K. The down payment is over 50% of price for either one. As NY state
has mortgage tax, if I borrow less, I pay less mortgage tax. But if there is
0.125 or 0.25 rate increase for loan less than 200K. then it might be
better to borrow 200K instead. Thanks for any suggestion.

一般来说Loan amount越少，拿到的利率越高，不过17万和20万没有什么太大的区别。

I don't think there is a big difference between $200K and $170K loan.

Depending on the lender. The difference between $200K and $170K is general
none. Even there is one, it should be very tiny (on rebate).
