1.Operating hours (daily drop off & pick up, flexibility), Vacation
schedules
2.Teacher-to-child ratio, how are children grouped, by age?
3.Children’s background (ethnic, cultural, religious), are there any kids
with special needs?
Daily activities
4.Schedule of daily activities (TV and video time, story time, outdoor time
(winter), snacks, meals, water, free time, group activities, individual
activities, art, music), static daily routine?
5.Is there a daily report? (diapers, accident, eating, sleeping, emotion)
6.Are the toys age-appropriate? How old are the toys?
School philosophies
7.School philosophies on discipline (time-out, punishment if a child hits
another child or throws a tantrum over a toy someone else is playing with,
what should the consequences be? Separation anxiety), feeding (frequency,
