九月底请人做的landscaping, 包括种草坪，铺的是sod.
landscaping的人告诉我最好三周内不要踩上去，所以整个十月也没剪一次草。
到了十一月，每次想剪草，总赶上下雨。结果一直到今天也没剪成。
现在的情况是草已经长高了一寸多，
我在中西部，天气越来越冷。今天早上还飘了点小雪，草叶都冻住了。
想请教一下
我还来得及剪草吗？如果不剪，草能过冬吗？
如果需要剪，这种天气情况，草要剪多高？

Never walk on or mow your lawn when it is frozen.
You can still mow your lawn, if it is dry and above freezing temperature for
some hours so you are sure that your grass isn't frozen.
In general you should increase the mowing height towards summer (say 3.5" or
even 4") and decrease the mowing height towards winter (say 2.5"). The
danger of high grass in the winter is that they mat down easily during snow
period thus promoting snow mold.
As always, don't cut more than 1/3rd of your current grass height. However,
if it is deep in the winter and well before spring, you can probably get
away with cutting to your desired height in one go since neither the root
nor the blade is growing.

入冬前把地面以上全部剪掉，再盖上塑料薄膜

我看到的说法是冬天高度是1～2英寸。

I should have said that my recommendations should be for cool season grasses
only. Do you refer to cool season grasses or warm season grasses? In
general, warm season grasses are cut much shorter than cool season grasses.
That said, warm season grasses probably don't have that much of a winter to
worry about anyway.
For the ideal cutting height for cool season grasses, the general
recommendation is 2.5-4" for tall fescue, and 2-3.5" for others. My believe
is to cut as high as possible in the heat of the summer (e.g. I'd go for 3.
5-4" for others too). So for winter, I'd go for the higher of the low range
Grass maintenance is more of an art than science, so if one wants to go
lower like 2", it is fine. In fact, I did mine at 2.29" last weekend for
the last cut (as my mower doesn't have the 2.5" setting, and the next one is
2.72").
However, I'd definitely recommend AGAINST cutting as low as 1" for cool
season grasses. With an uneven ground, it is really easy to scalp some of
the grasses, leaving it severely damaged.
Again, the above is for cool season grasses only.

如果气温已经零下了，而且草比较长，有什么补救措施么？还是就只能天天祷告直到开春

In that case, you have to wait, as frozen grass is brittle and the crown is
very easy to get damaged when walked on or mowed. Crown damage is very bad.
It is possible that you could get one warm day in the winter so you can do
the cut. It is also possible that you don't get too much snow. Even with
snow, there is a possibility that you won't get snow mold.
