I have this question for long time. But I am shy to ask because I am afraid
people will laugh at me.
The question is why computer cannot have telephone's function.
As we know, today's smart phone can function more like a computer, such as
surfing, application, etc.
Why can we not use a computer to call someone?

这是因为如今的电脑已经不接电话线了。。。很久很久以前，电脑上接个电话线
用乌拉乌拉的猫dial-up上网的年代，装个软件就可以用电话线打电话，发传真
你这个问题表明你还很年轻

who told you there is no fax modem port in current desktop computer?
It sill exists there. but no one can dial it from any computer with such
ports.
Faxing software still works with current computer with fax modem port.
but you still need a phone with a cable connecting from your computer to
the phone.
I am talking about calling through the port.
anyone has seen it?

先定义一下你的电话功能。
其实你想弄，你就可以弄个电话功能。
你不要说，非要内置的。

你用windows 7么？去左下角start，输入dialer.exe

为啥要弄到主板上？
没多少人在乎要用，主板厂家为啥把这个功能弄到主板上？如果要弄，主板上的东
西就多了，像内存，硬盘，视频卡，等等，必须用的，就先弄在主板上了。

他可能是指的硬件。
比如主板上弄个MAGIC JACK一样的硬件。插上电话就可以打的那种。

actually, the definition is very easy.
suppose we have iphone. OK.
1) the iphone's os is windows.
2) office, and other software can run in the new OS.
that's what I expected.
simply, it is a phone combined with a computer. or you can say,
a computer combined with a phone.
But you don't need to buy two devices, computer and phone.
skype doesn't count.
with this device, you can call anyone anytime because it is a phone.
with this device, you can program, watch tv, and do anything that you can do
with a computer.

我知道你的意思。
你的意思是把电脑变成IPHONE。一般的电话机都不用接，直接就可以打电话。
说实在话，你这个一点难度都没有。 IP电话多的是，能上网实现你说的电话功能一定
不难。
关键是，你这要整合到电脑上这个IPHONE一样的可以直接打电话的功能，有多少人要。。
没有市场，开发的厂家，就不会把这种硬件放在主板上作为标准配置。

我就不明白电脑联网用google voice打和接电话怎么就不可以？你一定要你的
普通电话号码？

never heard a phone can do complicated programming, even for a window phone.
does it come with 2T hard drive and 64G memory?
compatible with office 2013?
And most importantly, its price should not be more than $1000,
Because with $1000, you can buy a very decent laptop.
But today, an iphone will cost you $500 or more. That's too expensive.
The price that I expect is the sum of a good laptop (core i7, 2T hard drive
and 64G memory, 17' screen,) of $500 and a normal phone of $150 (not mobile
phone).

台式电脑有大的显示器，看的多爽，为啥SMART PHONE不借鉴一下，用手机接个30英寸
的大的LED显示器？
同理，想想，你就找到了答案了。

就是你家里电话线的号码。不过那是很久以前的事了，电脑还有dial-up modem的
时候。现在的电脑怎么连就需要研究了

thank you for your understanding.
I want this kind of device so that I don't need to bring my mobile phone
every day for work.
I can bring my 'computer' instead in my backpack. Whoever call me, I can
call them back. I can use my 'computer' to connect to the network via
ethernet/wifi
or by mobile phone's 4G.
If I am rich enough, I can buy such a 'computer' with tiny size, such
as 10 inch. So that my pocket can hold it.
Isn't that cool? I won't need to have a phone and a mini laptop at the same
time.

不可能一样完美。。
就和100米跑的运动员，和1万米的运动员。短跑运动员向长跑运动员学习耐力，而长

Do you know why you can use google voice like a real phone?
because google voice provide such virtual phone service with contract
or agreement with the telecommunication companies.
google voice buys service for google voice users from telecommunication
companies.
my question is " can the users buy the service directly from
telecommunication companies?"
Why not?

actually the reason is very simple.
The telecommunication is one company.
The computer is another company.
No one wants to be merged by another one.
This is why there is no such a product on market.
Actually, it should be very easy. And a lot of people like me want
this kind of products.

你这想法，有点像有些人，总觉得别人的老婆好一样。
自己现在有的优点看不到，指看到自己没有的东西的优点。可是，你想想，那个东西
有没有缺点。
你不用手机了，你背个包，里面有个可以当电话的电脑。你想过没有，如果你运动，
你在和别人说话，或者你上一会厕所，或者你出去到后院割下草，你都背上你的背包？

为什么？因为有这个要求的用户太少啊。我不认为有"a lot of people"需要
这样的设备。你的需求完全可以通过voip解决，可是你偏偏不要voip，要传统电话
服务。这样的客户可不多

而且电脑也不一样，不是所有的电脑都能跑程序，和打比较大的游戏的。
要打大型游戏，和跑复杂的程序，要配置高的电脑才可以的。

系统的兼容性。电话系统是很老的系统，有约定，不同交换机之间根据约定连接，所以
你可以打电话到任何一家跟你用的交换机有约定的电话上。
电脑的软件是可以打电话的，但是这个打电话的软件也是要走跟电话系统相连的交换机
，也就是说，电脑打电话需要有一个跟电话系统兼容的系统做支持。
当然如果另创一套系统，电脑之间可以打电话不走老的电话系统，qq就是其中之一。
