房产税in our state 是1/1-12/31吧？1/1交当年的。记得过户的时候，收到过一张纸
，关于申
请home owner exemption 的。看县里的网站，好像说户主只能在税收年开始之后才能
申请。see the following between ***/***
" Residence Homestead Exemption
***To qualify, you must own and reside in your home on January 1 of the year
application is made ****and cannot claim a homestead exemption on any other
property. If you temporarily move away from your home, you still can
qualify for this exemption, if you do not establish another principal
residence and you intend to return in less than two years. You may exceed
the two year limit if you are in military service serving outside of the
United States or live in a facility providing services related to health,
infirmity or aging. ****Applications cannot be filed before the date you
qualify for the exemption****."
但1/1 已经due了，申请完之后不也要下一年才能有用吗？那怎么办才能从第一
次在自己名义下就能得到exemption 呢？哪位給讲讲。
