Hi guys,
I got a notice with my HOA recently, and they gave me a notice saying I
couldn't hang my clothing on my balcony, and california just passed a bill
Assembly Bill No. 1448 saying associations can't prohibit people dry their
clothing on their private area. But my HOA argued that this bill was limited
to the backyard, and my balcony wasn't considered as a backyard.
This law doesn't show anywhere the balcony can't be defined as a 'backyard'.
But this law specifies that the Land Lord can't prohibit tenants to dry
their clothing on the private areas, and I am the tenant as well, so I can
dry my clothing in my private area.
Any suggestions?

关键要找出 balcony 是 private area 的证据。
仔细在那个州法中琢磨。看能不能找出 private area 的相关定义，和你那个 balcony
是否能算进去。HOA 关于 private area 的定义如果有矛盾，以州法为准。
问题是这个晾衣服是小事，是否值得这么折腾。

第一次和HOA打交道，所以不是很清楚这个notice是否很严重，所以说我可以忽略它，
说我没收到信，因为HOA只是用平信寄的
请建议一下，我不是太愿意折腾的
