I tried but could not figure this one out: this gas furnace has flame but no
heat, how is this possible?
I see flame (this means a lot of parts are working) and blower works, but
the air is not warm air.
York package unit (furnace and AC combined)
model no: D1NA030N036606C
year 1999
gas furnace.

火苗是稳定的蓝色火焰吗？
如果是，那么可能是heat exchanger shut off, 有可能是filter太脏了，或者太密了
，或者控制阀门，过载温度计坏了。

多谢回答。没搞过HVAC，还请多帮忙。不知电工接的thermostat 对不对，this unit
has 4 terminal for wire, but he uses 4 wires to connect the 24v thermostat
C=not connected
G=connects to green
Y=connects to black (this could be the furnace)
W=white
R=red
I did more experiments:
1. turn thermostat from off to heat: blower start immediately, but no heat
2. turn thermostat from heat to off: blower stops after a few seconds delay,
but during the few seconds, I swear it is warm air.
attached are some images, I label them A,B,C,D,...,G,H so that we can refer
them to discuss.

摸摸看blower里面的水管热吗？可能circular pump 坏了。

this G labeled in my image. Where the big fan is, I see two tube connecting
to panel, one is "H", the other is "L", see attached, what are these?

blower 的原理就是把热水管的热吹出去。你摸摸furnace 旁边pump 上面那段水管热不
热。

yes, this small fan (circulation blower?) push hot exhaust air out. I assume
this is some kind of safety mechanism. I assume as soon as this fan stops,
then the hot air would come out. How to make this fan stop?

by looking at condenser fan
you can try, but it won't help.
check power contactor

OK, I will check the contactor tomorrow if it does not rain too hard.
I expect there is no 24V low volt power to the coil, but the contactor
somehow has shorted the contacts (closed the switch) providing power to the
AC. Is this your diagnosis strategy? This would be a good thing to check,
thank you very much.

googled and found a manual (I think it matches closely to this unit) here:

tested the power contactor today. There was 24V on the contactor. Since now
I have
the circuit diagram, I spent some time tracing the circuit, I found the
electrician made two mistakes connecting the thermostats. The first mistake
was the Y and W wires at the thermostats were shorted (the control wires are
stranded type, he did not do a clean job), the second mistake was he
swapped Y and W. This would explain why I can see flame and the contactor is
turned on.
Now the heat is working!!!
