Due to worried about raise of interest in bonds, I am switching my bond
funds to more stable accounts. These 5% interest accounts are great
alternative.
For the record, I opened the following accounts and deposited money on them
except H-E-B: They sent me the H-E-B prepaid card but I can't activate it. I
called and was told I have too many cards. LOL. There's maximum (5)
Netspend per SSN...
ACE Elite
Brick Prepaid
Netspend Prepaid
Paypal Prepaid
Western Union Prepaid
Purpose Card
H-E-B Prepaid
Momentum card - no saving accounts anymore.
Mango - do not accept new applicants.
You are missing UnionPlus Prepaid. I'm doing the same thing but I think the
fees on PayPal and the Control card are too high.
Interesting that you were able to activate 4 cards from Metabank. I thought
3 was the limit per bank because of the $15000 limit. We're using Netspend,
Ace Elite and Western Union from Metabank.
For BofI, we have Brinks, and my wife and I have H-E-B cards in the mail and
our accounts have been opened and billed $2.95.
When we're done I expect to have 13 cards. 5 netspends each (3 Metabank and
2 BofI). We also each have a Mango and I have UnionPlus since 3 per address
is the limit for First Bank and Trust.
Anybody find cards from Bancorp that don't have a monthly fee.
Agree these accounts seem like a win
