A Principal Engineer job in Irving,TX is available courtesy of Adecco
Engineering and Technology. You must have a minimum of ten years experience
in software engineering. This is a direct hire opportunity with an excellent
company! In this role you will support the Detection and Authentication R&D
Group in the development of products and features. This position will
support existing products and new development. The salary range for this
position is between $110,000 and $120,000 per year.
The Principal Engineer job responsibilities include:
- Work with the software team and our internal and external customers to
develop product functional specifications and technical designs for software
products.
- Develop production automation software.
- Develop and execute robust testing and validation procedures.
- Develop and support new image processing software for products.
- Review customer requirements and estimate implementation time.
- Develop software for high speed document sorters.
- Support and extend existing real time image processing software.
- Ability to travel (domestically and internationally) up to 30% of the time.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science degree in related field; Electrical Engineering highly
preferred.
- Minimum of ten years relevant software engineering experience.
- Expert knowledge of development for Windows Operating Systems.
- Experience in Microsoft Visual Studio.
- Expert knowledge of real time systems and real time programming.
- Expert knowledge of image data acquisition and processing techniques
- Experience in C/C++.
- Expertise & experience with version management software, preferably
Tortoise SVN repository tool.
- Experience in OOD and OOA preferred.
- Expertise & experience in software development and testing practices
- Familiarity and experience with the following technologies is preferred:
GigE Vision
Camera Link Interface
Embedded image processing hardware (e.g. FPGA, DSP)
Multi-core/multi-threading software development
