想着4月30日的8000元退税截至期,恐怕不好赶上了。
假如房子价格较贵,比如30/40万刀以上的房子,是否可能4.30以后降价,那岂不比拿
退税强?

Better to buy sooner than later if you can get $8000:
1. rate will go up. 0.5% can cost you a lot of money
2. house price may be stable, at least not drop that much
3. suppose a house of this kind can become $15000 cheaper after 4/30,
many sellers may decide keeping the house instead of selling it.

I have no idea if tax credit will continue but I highly doubt mortgage rate
would go up. there are many existing house listed at higher than new
construction price in my area now and considering how many people are under
water.

The current low mortgage rate was partially because the Fed's buying
mortgage security. Fed has a plan to stop that at the end of March.
Without that, the rate will go up.

4/30后变成16000块的tax credit,而且没有收入限制

good that some people are aware of this:
(1) fed will stop buy mortgage security, the influence in the next few
months should be within 0.7%, but 0.7% is a lot of money. More likely the
influence will be around 0.3% (also a lot of money).
(2) the $8000 tax rebate will not be extended. otherwise the congress will
talk about moral hazard. after april 30, it'll be a game theory of many
factors playing together:
(a) many buyers who have been waiting to see price drop will step in if
