Dear Immigration Officer,
I am writing to you to request for changing my status from F-2 to J-1 (
effective on August 1st, 2010) and the status of my spouse (Spouse Name)

status to J-2 dependent status, also effective on August 1st, 2010. Our
financial support during the stay will come from XXX University (see
enclosed my job offer letter).
Please find enclosed the following documents:
1. Form I-539.
2. ORIGINAL DS-2019 forms issued by XXX University (me and my spouse).
3. Photocopy of the job offer letter from my employer (XXX University).
4. A $300 check payable to U.S. Department of Homeland Security.
5. Receipt of SEVIS I-901 fee payment ($180).
6. ORIGINAL I-94 cards (me and my spouse).

me and my spouse).
8. Photocopies of current and previous I-20s (me and my spouse).
9. Photocopies of Social Security Cards (me and my spouse).
10. Photocopy of Certification of Marriage.
I would greatly appreciate your favorable decision towards my application.
