These are contract or for hire positions for Senior Server Side Java Tech
lead/Architect positions.
The client is a very reputable high end consulting firm. It needs a couple
of very strong techies that can bring some pragmatic views on architecture
and development for a big customer- playing the roles of tech leads and
architects (hands-on coders still).
Customer: Financial institution
Location: Wilmington, Delaware - 90min fast train ride from Manhattan (Penn
Station), 15/20min train ride from Philadelphia, office is walk distance
from the station
Duration: 6 months minimum - could be only 4 days a week if can't find
anyone willing to do 5 days
Employment: either can be hired by the consultant firm or server as
associate (ie: freelancers)
Product: a big digital platform - java stack with CI and all XP automation
practices, highly complex event driven architecture - lots of interesting
technology.
So the consulting firm is looking for:
A few 10+ years senior server developers/TLs that are talented in Java/JVM,
able to understand front to back development, able to do architecture, very
experienced in agile delivery and what it means to scale both agile and
enterprise software development - Fluent in all XP practices.
