姐妹们我又来了
发现自己一直没有释怀 abnormal pap的事实再加上follow up 还没有作, 常常胡思乱想
今天在医院的网站上看到说:如果 abnormal pap smear, 但是HPV是NEGATIVE的话,一般
先首先 re-pap, 然后结果还不好的话再coloscopy
我明明记得护士给我电话的时候说, HPV is negative, which is good.那为什么我的
医生还要给我作coloscopy阿？这么一想心理很不安阿~~~
上次帮我打气的姐妹们再安慰安慰我吧
过来人说说,是不是不用 re-pap, 就直接coloscopy?

re-pap is only to confirm whether you have HPV infection and whether you
have abnormal cells, which you have done in your first pap. If both are
negative, it is good. otherwise you still need further examination.
Colposcopy is not hurt at all. Your OB just check you cervical under
colposcopy to find out any visible changes in your cervical. If your OB see
any abnormal change, she will take a small piece of the tissue (biopsy) for
histology diagnosis, which will tell you the stage of the disease.

LZmm, what's your result descriptions?
I got a abnormal pap smear result last week and freaked out. Mine is said as
"rare atypical squamous cells of uncertain significance", also called "ASC-
US".they didn't do the HPV test since the sample was not enough. My OB asked
me to come back in 4 or 6 months to re-do the pap smear. When I asked her "
Is it going to be cancerous", she said "should not be??" So she's not sure.
.. The reason to do it in couple of months later is "need time to allow
cervix

By the way, I asked what to do between now and the next test, my ob said "
keep taking multi-vitamin" bills (since I've been breastfeeding. I think it
can apply to others too). Anyway,since your HPV result is negative, you are
not likely to have cervical precancer, according to the online resource. I
hope my HPV test would be negative too!

I don't even have my results in front of me yet. I will ask for a copy next
week when I do the follow-up. I called my OB the next day when they told me
"abnormal pap", my OB said"we found atypical cells" and that's it.
Hope both us will be fine!
