I'm also due in April. But my parents are coming in early April from BJ to
Dulles. I usually upgrade their tickets to economy plus, so they can lie
down for a few hours if the plane is not too crowded. Also, just ask them to
follow other Chinese to go to the custom area. My mom said last time they
came that there are officers holding Chinese signs to help guide everybody.
They had no problem finding the right transit and the luggage area the last
two times they come.
If you really cannot find anybody, don't worry too much. I also wrote a very
detailed letter in both English and Chinese with my contact information in
case they need to contact you for emergency. There are usually a lot of
Chinese and people always try to help each other, at least the two times my
parents came. They just follow other people from the same plane.
