我觉的可以。两个型号就是CPU不同而己。

我这个正经是NAS，不是PC了。以后会加上USB3，但丫机箱里太挤了。

NAS要usb 3.0也没啥大意义，为啥不上windows server

向上拷文件时有用。我对Win server不熟，对Syno OS有感情了。

Interesting -- Is it possible to install
Synology on Intel SS4000-E ?
(Currently runn FreeNAS7)
I do have another Synology DS713+ and like it.
But CPU is slow when doing Plex media Transcoding.
Update: Intel SS4000-E CPU: E4700

the intel model has a worse ARM CPU，will not work。
My DlY NAS has a AMD Turion 2 CPU, just 10% better than your Atom D2700 in
DS 713+. I tried to transcode a 480p porn, my CPU load was 95%. So...
I bought a Core i7 to run plex and transcode 1080p porn for LTE streaming.
Will see.
Maybe we should just DIY core i5 dedicated porn NAS. Just a thought.

机箱太挤所以我放弃加usb3.0了，倒是插了个usb声卡，这样大部分功能都可以满足。
usb3.0插到我游戏用的机器上了，那么小一个卡还需要有电源...

我就用手机bsplayer看硬盘上面的片子，码率不是太高/网速稳定时候720p没什么问题
，480p直接看更是没问题。不过这么小分辨率的片子，手机搞个32G microSD直接存在
上面就好了。

理论上可以，你看那个教程，x86，SATA，NIC硬件符合兼容就行。
