If you are poor in the US you get medicaid, all expense paid healthcare. But
you have to have a minimal IQ so you can fill out the forms to apply for it
. He is mentally retarded and cant figure out how to get it himself.
So a lazy and stupid guy like him chose the easy way out. No forms, no
paperwork. everything is handed to him in jail.
so another upshot of the story: a lot of news items are written by stupid
journalists who barely get Bs in college. They dont have the intelligence to
undestand the true complexity of the story.

right. the real story is this guy is retarded, depressed, isolated and
somewhat suicidal(most stupid depressed guys are). It has little to do with
the system.
