可以买一个机器nebulizer，加了药之后，用来做雾化吸入，不过如果喘的厉害的话还
是要用激素的。

How old is you son and how long has he been coughing?
It's better that you check with his doctor. My son coughed a lot during cold
months. The last time after he coughed continuously for 2 weeks, I took him
to the doctor. I was almost sure he would prescrib antibiotics. But he
examined his ears and throat thoroughly and said that there was no infection
going on (which was unbelievable to me), and no antibiotics necessary. I
remember I was hoping deep down that he better had good judgement or the
coughing might progress into something serious.
As he expected, after about another week or so, the cough began to subside.
It was kind of amazing to me to know that how careful the doctors are when
prescribing antibiotics here in the US, even for the safest Amoxicillin. I
am not anti-Chinese medicine, but I always feel for babies and young
children, it's better to be conservative on these thing. Many of these
traditional medication contain mercury or other hazardous ingredients.
If you have nebulizer and Xopenex or Albuteral, hook him onto the machine
for a couple of times (5-10 min each time). If your son makes wheezing sound
when he coughs, this should ease the symptoms

孩子快5岁，几个月前发生了两次wheezing，都是感冒引起的，他咳的挺多，但没感觉
呼吸困难。医生说是哮喘，给开了Albuteral（放雾化器里），有效。查了过敏，没查
出什么来。后来医生又开了一种剂量小的激素，用了三个月。最近又有点感冒，开始咳
嗽，咳多的时候（多在早上）有点那种丝丝的声音；如果很久不咳，那种声音就没了。
我总感觉孩子不是很严重的哮喘，查了下国内的网站，有个说法是“咳喘”，更像那个
。今天看了一篇文章，说小孩儿wheezing不一定是哮喘，也可能是病毒引起的。但我们
儿医好像没说过其他可能性，一直说是哮喘，如果去看医生肯定又让用激素；还有个医
生建议连续用1年。所以我想试试国内的药，如果只是感冒病毒引起的，不是真正的哮
喘，可能吃了就管用。我对国内的药也一直持很谨慎的态度，几乎没吃过，不过这次对
美国医生的诊断有些怀疑。当然，如果孩子出现了呼吸困难，我还是会给用雾化器的。
