看大家有讨论天才，俺来给添点儿料. 俺们这里有一个preschool，说是面向“天才”
娃儿的，创办人学的专业就是研究gifted kids, gifted program。给天才加个引号是
人家原文用的词叫“highly capable”。下面这段是从她家网站上抄来的：
A gifted child （0-3 years old) may demonstrate:
* Unusual alertness and activity
* Requiring less sleep during infancy than average babies
* Intense reactions to sensory input
* Needing seemingly constant stimulation and interaction

看到这儿就停了，还是不天才好。胡吃胡睡的娃，才是懒家长最prefer的。infant就不
睡觉，家长哪有时间娱乐。

我发现，娃儿小的时候，做父母的爱纠结聪明不聪明这些事儿。等娃儿大了，就明白了
，影响人生的因素太多了。

这我不同意哎。我看到的睡觉多的，脑子聪明。小婴儿长脑子，不就是通过睡觉吗。
那时后脑细包分裂很快，分裂的数量和质量是血供决定的。血供好坏就是营养，休西
和无外界的不利影响（如受伤，辐射）。
就算大人，睡觉少的，我看智商高不到哪去，脾气都很大。

看见你说天才学校，我歪个楼，不是针对你帖子里的学校的。
我们这里有一些私校自诩广招普天下的天才儿童来教育。。。
这广告打得很不怎么样，人家儿童已经是天才了，你再怎么教也就还是天才，搞不好还
给人家变成个蠢才庸才。
哪个学校敢说自己能把笨孩子教成人才，那才叫牛。

哈哈哈，我想象一下，真要有这么个学校，说能把笨孩子教成人才，你说有家长愿意送
吗，送了等于承认自己的孩子是笨孩子了。一般家长都认为自己孩子最聪明了。

我的理解，按照他们的总结，天才娃儿们都睡的不多，但人家依旧是天才。普通娃儿睡
的再多还是普通娃儿。

睡觉少竟然是天才的表现，苍天哪，我爹曾说，我家闺女是他见过睡觉最少的小娃。

re,
其实，我从来都是觉得每个人的智商都差不多，表现的方面不一样而已，当然，确实
有天才，但普通的我们养个天才的可能性太低了。
所以，我和LG都认为不能让孩子从小觉得自己聪明，只要让她知道自己这件事做得好，
那件事做得棒就好了，不夸她聪明。

那天我家娃看见花开了，他还不知道blooming这个词，
然后就说flower open，算不算advance of using language???:)

天才娃就是天才娃，成功人士就是成功人士。
天才娃不一定能成为成功人士，成功人士也不一定非得天才娃。
但是，
大家不能因为天才娃没转变为成功人士就否认人家小时候是天才娃。
或者，
因为有成功人士不是天才娃转变的就认为天才娃不能成为成功人士。
以上是我的基本认识。
所以基本上，我属于看到天才娃就激动型的。：）

那你太谦虚了。我周围学龄娃儿的家长，都带着娃儿前赴后继的去考gifted program，
一年考不上第二年再考，还有的为此专门去上补习班什么的。

经常看人这么说，但是自己不是很了解爱因斯坦。
所以，
假装较真的问一下，爱因斯坦不符合上面的那些条件。
大家都来说说，
然后上述的标准是说“highly capable”，是不是跟我们脑子里的“天才娃”是两回事
啊？

我觉得幼儿也需要充足的睡眠，睡眠多反而是好事，所以不同意这一点

我儿子前四条都符合，第五条的reading还看不出来，带他累够呛。mmd,这根本不是天
才的特征，这是闹将的特征。我表弟是小天才一个，华盛顿州数学竞赛第一名，我看他
小时候挺乖挺文静的，只有一点符合就是觉不多。

也不矛盾。小时候他啥都不会当然需要外界input不断的刺激，大点了有自己explore的
能力强了就比较独立，你唱个歌跳个舞读读卡片就不能满足他了呗。我上次见表弟的时
候他六岁，一个人在读一本厚厚的棋谱。

我感觉睡觉多少是天生的，有的大人，孩子就是只需要比较少的睡眠，睡觉多发育更好
应该是针对同一人说的，不是说这个孩子睡得多就比别的发育更好，因为别人压根不
需要睡那么多。
睡觉少的人应该是更容易出成果，因为睡觉少了嘛，有更多时间花在其他上面。大部分
成功的人都是工作狂，他们如果需要很多时间睡觉，时间就不够用了。
这里的gifted child 也不一定就是指天才，是从长大后各方面很出色的人统计得来的
的。
