It takes forever to get my 2 yr old son out of the door each morning, he
wakes up between 7 to 730am, and day care has breakfast, if lucky, we can be
out of the door before 830... And I don't have time for breakfast AT ALL
he always dilly dallies, first he runs around bare footed and refuses to go
potty, normally I give up and just let him pee in his diaper and force him
onto the bed to get him change his pull-up. then he hides his face either
with his clothes or in a pillow and refuses to wash face and brush teeth, as
a matter of fact, I gave up brushing his teeth all together to save time.
then he runs around again and refuses to be dressed, then finally he is
dressed, he picks up some toy and starts playing. then finally we are out of
the door heading to the subway station 1 block away, he runs around in the
neighborhood and doesn't listen to mommy's instructions.... so this one
block seems forever too...
there is yelling more or less each morning otherwise I will never be able to
be at work. Don't get me wrong, my son loves day care, it takes same amount
of effort if not more to pick him up from the day care too. but that is
left to his dad.
