IL数学教师63届年会接受“围棋数学”proposal
GoMath Academy

The 2013 ICTM Conference Committee has accepted your proposal for the
October program. It is the intent of the committee to have details regarding
the time and day of this presentation ready sometime in June.
We have your technology needs listed as: 1 LCD

You think Go would be more interesting to American kids than video games?

如果只看见“吃饱肚子”的问题，那人参还比不上一个大馒头；
如果只是比interesting, 那也可以让妈妈拍着孩子唱着歌睡觉
围棋的意义远远超过这些，我只是把围棋和数学结合，提高美国孩子的数学能力
也不是要去抢 video games 的生意

Okay. But seems to me Go/Weiqi is a strategy game similar to Chess. PLaying
Go can improve math skill? Perhaps logical and cognitive thinking skill
more than math skill?

下 Chess 主要是逻辑能力
下围棋各方面能力都有锻炼，尤其是底层的数感 Number sense
数学的大厦，都是建立在 Number Sense 之上的

我从前也是下围棋，从来就没有思考这些问题，
也是后来才意识到，并且逐渐发展出围棋数学体系的。

What kind of math are you talking about? just doing some simple addition
and subtraction?
At most, you use some simple arithmetic in Go game. THere is no algebra,
geometry, trigonometry, calculus, number theory, probability, topology.

对啊。主要就是小学 K-4 的内容。
你说的高级的东西，围棋也有覆盖，但是不是最根本的。
围棋数学培养的是 Number Sense ，是数学的基础。

说下围棋锻炼数学, 就象说集邮能陶冶情操一样.

多谢。
俺好像一点紧张的感觉都没有。
我给小学中学上围棋课大约1个小时，给 college 上围棋课是 4 个小时
内容上足够多覆盖。
目前是个 niche，希望我给美国数学老师普及之后，能够让围棋数学在全美铺开。

amateur or pro 2 dan? I am about amateur 1 dan. Haven't played for a long
time. maybe you can give me 2 stone handi in a game.

i know Feng Yun 9 dan (the 2nd woman pro 9 dan) was teaching go to kids in

她一直在做的。
不过她比较偏重于纵向的课程培训，我偏重于横向的大众普及
我的工作做好了，她的日子就会更好过了
不过我的工作做好了，最受益的是美国的数学教育界。

我觉的围棋挺好玩儿的，虽然我不咋会下，但还是觉的挺有意思的
不过我倒不觉的number sense是数学的基础
当然围棋的普及是好事儿，我觉的比象棋复杂多了
