Achieve 1% metering from Canon's 9% metering system

This is just a primary thought appeared in my mind these days,
it may or maynot be true. Suggestions are welcome.
For many Canon metering systems, they are still using 9% metering
systems. Comparing with Nikon 1% metering system, they have big
disadvantages. I try to derive an empirical expression for
correcting the 9% metering system down to 1% metering system.
Suppose the metering range is a rectangular zone in the center
