With following feature:
1) wide angle: 28mm...prefer 24mm
2) zoom: >= 5X
3) Focal: f2.8 or brighter at wide angle
4) LCD: articular lcd 2.7''...prefer 3''...good for macro & self photo..
5) Flash: integrated flash..prefer external flash plug-in available.
6) Video: HD 720 or better. Recording time limited only by storage card size.
7) Dimension: Less than a entry level DSLR...prefer pocketable but not a must
8) Price: less than $500..
9) EVF: prefer for strong sunlight condition..

The closest is G1/G2/GH1...but the price is too high...

Olympus SP-590UZ meets all your criteria except 6)(it has 640x480 video)
$250 at selected sams club
Fujifilm s1800 meets all your criteria except 3) (it has f3.1 at wide angle)
a little bit less than $200 from many online stores

Thanks...looks like have to wait for new DCs...I used a canon G6 before..
love everything...just want a new Dc with similar style..with HD video,
brighter lens and bigger LCD...
