5/11/2016: Got an email notice of RFE for I-485 and found the case status
was
updated on USCIS website.
USCIS website's case status:
"On May 6, 2016, we mailed a request for initial evidence for your Form I-
485, Application to Register Permanent Residence or to Adjust Status,
Receipt Number SRC1xxxxxxxxx. The request for evidence explains what we need
from you. We will not take action on your case until we receive the
evidence or the deadline to submit it expires. Please follow the
instructions in the request for evidence. If you do not receive your request
for evidence by June 5, 2016, please go to www.uscis.gov/e-request to
request a copy of the notice. If you move, go to www.uscis.gov/addresschange
to give us your new mailing address."
5/24/2016: The company lawyer told me they hadn't received the RFE letter.
5/27/2016: Online Service Request was made by myself for the missing RFE
notice.
6/3/2016: Got response from USCIS that the RFE action was cancelled.
USCIS email response:
"We have received your service request and researched the status of your
case. On May 6, 2016, the system says you were issued a request of evidence
(RFE). However, that action was cancelled and your case is currently in line
for processing and adjudication. Cases are processed in the order in which
they were received. You should receive a decision or notice of further
action within 90 days.
We hope this information is helpful to you.
