J.P. Morgan is out with its report today on Broadcom (NASDAQ: BRCM), raising
its price target from $49 to $55.
In a note to clients, J.P. Morgan writes, "Broadcom reported 4Q revenues of
$1.95B (+8% Q-Q, +45% Y-Y), which were 2% ahead of ours and consensus
estimates by around $50M, while non-GAAP EPS of $0.75 was $0.03 better than
our estimate and $0.01 better than consensus. Our new December 2011 price
target of $55 assumes that BRCM should trade at 17x our 2012 EPS estimate of
$3.40, or at a 15% premium to where the average stock in our universe is
currently trading given the company's revenue and earnings growth trajectory
and its solid position within the fastest growing segments of the
technology market."
J.P. Morgan remains Overweight on BRCM.
At the time of posting, shares of BRCM were trading at $43.17, down 6.94%
from Tuesday's close.
