I cut all my GLD holding at 155.5 AH just now.
My ave cost is about 158. Typically something will go up after I cut my
position, but I just do not feel well about GOLD positions. Anyway lost $2.5
per share for 600 shares.
I also took profit on my 500 shares AGQ at 48.8 (my ave cost is 46.8). So I
made $2 per share for 500 shares.

最近很多机子都是Refurb的，一直忍着，今天看到T3i，很是心动。可是又担心买回来
，机子不好自己也不知道。
大侠说说可以下手吗？

Yes, it does not make sense. So I admitted my mistake and took my loss now.
I always quit quickly when I feel not comfortable.

参考两个月前金子暴跌后的走法，周一或周二重新下探153的可能性还是很大的。虽然
我希望最好不要发生。

Nothing wrong with the timing. You just over allocated for this position and
over extended yourself to the point that you have chickened.

158x600 share is about 100K. if that a lot of money to you, it makes sense
that you are not comfortable. However, I think people should diversify their
assets and give a decent allocation to gold just in case the system fails.

i think he meant if you have a million $ and allocate 10% to gold, then it
would not a big deal if the gold goes up or down for a few $.

Your cutting the entire position is an over reaction (or correction) to
the
fact that you bought too large a position initially.
A rational approach would be to downsize the position so much so that you
can feel comfortable with it. My feel is that if you had never had the
position in the first place, you might have considered buying in a small
position today.

I see. Thanks. Yes, I over-believed that the gold will no go below 1600 and
stay under it. But it did happen this week and I just feel that I was wrong
about my view on gold and want to correct my mistake during today's bounce.
So I cut all my gold positions. You are right that if I did not buy GLD in
the first place, I would probably keep my AGQ shares. I just did not feel
well and want to get rid of all my bad actions and will start over.

Investing in gold needs iron nerve like this: Say, you enter at price X
and then it goes down 20% from X and you still happily wanna buy more.
If you don't have that strong belief in gold you'd better not play it.
Too volatile for casual traders. Btw, GLD does not count as real gold
investment. Only physical gold and some mining shares do.

some miners' moves are qutie impressive
check out AXU, AG, SPM.to
nice gains with all time high volumes, 10 times or so of average volumes
I am positive with the sector

Hi, I attended a lecture, and I was told when you bought GLD, it equal to
buy gold.
GLD has gold.

We are in the middle of the mother of all financial bust. When a bust
happens your bank account could default, your 401k could, your future
account could (MF Global anyone?). So could that little GLD thing.
If buying gold is for long term safety then why not go for the safest
which is physical gold first and everything else takes a backseat.
