want to cancel an order.
the seller opened a case and emailed :
Thank you for your email. As per your request, I have canceled this
transaction. Please complete the mutual cancellation request via your eBay
messages by clicking the take action link then agree to cancel.
However, in ebay open case, there is a warning

You should only accept the cancellation request if you haven't paid yet or
you've already received your refund from the seller. If you haven't received
your refund.
what should I do?

I ordered for my friend. But my friend did not want it later, so I cancelled
it before it ships out. Am I wrong?

totally no idea how to deal with it.
there is an ebay warning : don't accept the cancel request until you receive
the refund
on the other hands, the seller want me to accept the cancel request in order
to cancel the order.
I emailed the seller to cancel the order a few days ago, he said order has
been cancelled but he opened this case today. no refund yet

Isn't that clear enough? You agree to cancel if you have not paid or if you
have got the refund. Otherwise wait for the refund and then agree.
ebay is just an ass to make sure the seller does not get away with fee
refund for a sold item.

ok, summary
me: want to cancel an order before it ships out
seller: no problem, order has been cancelled
a few days later, no refund, seller opened a cancel case and email me
seller: please complete the cancel request in the open case
me: almost click the accept and see a warning from ebay.
ebay warning:You should only accept the cancellation request if you've
already received your refund from the seller.
me: come here to ask for suggestion hehe
