我是J2，刚来的时候和老公一起去报道，international students office的mm问我要
不要ssn，我在表上填了要，结果她给老公办的是ssn，给我办的是denial letter。那
时候刚来，什么都不懂，人家给什么就是什么……
现在到美3个月了，想申请working permit，不知道是不是可以申请啊。如果可以的话
，怎么申请呢？我不知道i485是什么，和i765是什么关系。申请EAD的话，都有些什么
步骤。有好心人可以告诉我吗？多谢了~~

我是EE fresh PhD，方向是control, robotics, and optimization。做过科学运算和
嵌入系统编程。现在刚毕业，到公司做实时+嵌入系统。目前的项目接近于desktop
programming。虽然可以长点经验，但是和CS科班的人竟争很吃力。理想情况是几年后
编程水平提高点，找这样一个职位
1，实时+嵌入系统。
2, 用到科学计算的知识，matrix computation or signal processing。（我在国内有
几年雷达信号处理的经验）
3, 或者需要控制机电系统。Motor, sensor, etc.
4, 或者用点硬件知识。我可以设计简单的PCB板，但搞不了ASIC。
5, Some research flavor is a plus.
虚心请教大家在什么行业可能有比较合适（当然不需要100% match）的职位？职业前景
和工资如何？多谢。

J2 can apply for EAD by filing I-765. Please see I-765 form and instruction
. J2 EAD is NOT related to I-485 (c)(9) EAD. You can get SSN this time when
you have EAD card.
