An update:
(1) The deadline for Spring application is Sept. 15 (next Tuesday) and Fall is May 1 for International students.
(2) You just need to submit the application form online http://www.memphis.edu/admissions/apply.php by
the deadline. The other materials (e.g. GRE, transcript, etc.) can arrive later.
(3) IELTS score is okay (if you don't have TOEFL).
Email l*****[email protected] first before submitting your application.

That's normal. I would use O2 plus a few extra optimisation parameters. Also
try not to use latest GCC. 4.1 is bad. 4.2,4.3 is good. and 4.4 is a no

It all depends. That's why you should try different options when possible. A
lso different architecture may require different solution. On AMD, hardcoded
SSE gave me 50% gain in speed. On Intel, it is a lot less.

That's unfortunate for those employers/professors. They probably need to
screen a lot of candidates in a
short amount of time. Nevertheless, using gender and other such biases to
screen candidates (potential
employee/student/professor) is a poor practice that we all should avoid.

All the incoming PhD students get trained in the basic networking courses,
so it really doesn't matter what's
your previous background. However, you need to be interested in networking/
security and research in
general, otherwise it'll be difficult.

我确实没见过女生开发能力强的。
不过编程能力不好，别的行还是可以有很好发展的。。。
就怕编程也不会，research又做不动，而且还在鸟不拉屎的地方成天YY，这样就麻烦了

看来他跟学CS的女的有仇么...以前被女的伤害过心理受了强烈的刺激?

您就别乱猜了，我到现在为止就一个论断，女生开发程序能力不行，我估计也不小心把你
给包进去了。
不过我可以肯定是，你因为程序写得太烂被我刺激到了。。
