Dinshaw J. Patel is a member of the United States National Academy of
Sciences. The Patel structural biology lab is set to open on March 1, 2016

Three postdoctoral and three technician positions are open in the Patel lab

Lucy Liu在谢大律师手下的时候， 我觉得态度挺好的。
但这两年在mitbbs上， 包括本版， 树敌不少。 看她几年
时间从一个小文员发展成大老板， 但危机处理不过关呀。
我觉得这事闹那么大了， 她该出来解释一下， 顺便
把钱退了， 大家也许还不至于如此群情汹涌。
做生意， 还是避免在中国人圈里混。 钱不好挣， 风险也大。

我去年6月找她帮我办EB1A，实在很生气才在这里曝她，
先讲讲她的无良“职业操守”， 头两个也许不算啥，您看完再说
1）。拉客的时候吹的天花乱坠，交了钱就不理了
2）。一般打电话，发email都不回，或1－2周才回
3）。12／15／2010 她收到补件通知，补交期限是1／26／2011。她直到1／25／2011才
通知我。还跟我说USCIS允许发
延期请求，她已经发了。
4）。然后又是找不到人，好容易通了一次电话，我也不奢望她帮我指导啥了（下面我
再说她的无能业务水平），我说我来准
备材料，你最后review一下吧，结果我把材料发给她以后从此玩消失。
5）。二月初我给USCIS打电话，他们说政策上是不允许延期请求的，我的申请快要被
abandon了。
下面再说下她的无能“职业水平”
1）。我的背景是美国一般学校phd, 15 paper, 85％第一作者。30篇review, 40多
citation, best paper 一次，学校奖项
2 次， 业界大公司工作3年，不是research 工作，公司奖项一次，公司报道一次， 总
的来说case不强。
2）。我跟她说集中火力少claim几项，这位律师一口气claim了award, media report,
contribution, authorship,
judgement, leading role, display of work in exhibition, 最后被批的只承认了
authorship
3）。claim awards 时，她把学校，公司奖项都放上去，还说算的，结果只承认 best
paper
4)。 claim media report 时，把公司产品的报道放了一堆上去，说也算，结果全不承认
5）。claim judgement 时，她说只提供review invitation就够了，结果被追要更多证据
6）。claim display of work in exhibition, 她把我会议presentation ppt 放上去
，搞笑，签证官说这个claim根本不是给
你这种presentation用的。
7）。claim leading／critical role 时，她就把job verification letter 全抄照搬
，就两段，公司介绍，我的工作简述，没有
一个字提到 leading, critical
8)。后来我看了和我一个实验室出来的师弟的petition letter （背景相似，他找的另
一个律师），发现我的petition letter 就
是一坨屎，感谢我的律师 ！

I also left my voice message. Up to date, I haven’t received your call
back. I also noticed that you already responded to your RFE yourself.
The fee letter you signed with our firm does not include service for RFE
notice. Normally, a new fee letter will be drafted for the RFE notice
based on its content. I shall notify you earlier of your RFE notice. As
I explained to you earlier over the phone, I went to hospital emergency
room because of my constant high fever for weeks during that period. I
also timely requested an extension to reply your RFE notice with the
Immigration based on my medical situation. Based on the unforeseeable
medical emergency, the Immigration normally will grant the extension
request. All this information has been fully disclosed to you.
I also noticed that you posted many articles related to me in Chinese
communities, including mitbbs.com, Emory newsgroup and etc. You clearly
knew that the delay was caused by my medical situation. Unfortunately,
you intentionally did not disclose my medical situation in any of your
posts. In fact, you put me in a false light that I delayed to notify you
of the RFE notice with gross negligence. I stand for your right of
freedom of speech. However, it does not mean that you are free to
infringe my rights. I am a licensed attorney and the fact that you put
me in the false light caused me a great damage to my practice.
The conflicts of interests between you and me now prevent me from
representing you in your immigration matters in a full ability. I would
like to have a phone conference with you in person to discuss your
matters. Please email me directly to schedule an appointment in this
week. Your prompt reply is greatly appreciated.

就是谈到员工待遇， 说她律师所里,有的员工放弃其他所高
1/3的工资， 因为环境好。
但现在看来， 自己发个烧就没人处理业务了。

原来就是她
律师行业这个食物链里面最低端的移民律师出来侃侃而谈什么管理
就觉得有些不堪，中国人圈子中的移民律师大都是草菅人命的流氓
认真做事的非常非常少

也不能这么一棍子打死。 一来， 律师这行业本来就
包揽词讼的多， 别提什么正义了。 二来， 移民律师这
一行恶性竞争， 收费低广告支出多。 认真做事的，
很难混出来。
当时我觉得比较神奇， 一个人能三四年间从一个paralegal，
变成雇佣那么多人的老板， 太不可思议了。
说来说去， 还是码工日子好过。
