I'm quite troubled by my obssessive personality. For example, I met a guy
online six months ago. Everything started very well and we dated for two
months and then out of blue he dumped me. I thought that I fell in deep love
with him and then the pain and grief made me really anxious. I began to
have compulsive behaviors, like wanting to call him all the time, thinking
about him constantly, searching online for relationship tips all day long,
searching online often to see if he was looking for ot

I felt like it's not necessary for me to seek professional help because my
symptom isn't severe. At least I can function well with my work and life,
although I wasted time and energy on the obssessive behavior. I've purchased
some self-help books and hope they can help.
But this is an under-discussed topic here so I wonder if somebody can
provide some practical techniques to handle obssession.

我知道有女人有这个习惯，if that makes it easier for you，因为这个习惯可能比你
想象的普遍，只是大家不愿意说。但我也不知道这个怎么处理，你以前是怎么走出来的

It could be a relationship problem rather than an obsession problem.
You thought you were in a good relationship, and then it suddenly ended.
Understandbly, you are traumatized and confused. It takes a while for
people to adjust to such losses.
Short of going to professional help, you might want to reflect on the
relationship a bit more -- it's painful, so do it at a comfortable pace:
First, what do you hope to accomplish by the searching and phone calls?

有一部日本电影叫浮云，我一直想看，如果你能找到，也许可以看看。是讲一个女孩子
迷恋一个不忠的男人一辈子。不知道为什么，很多生活里面的事情，我经历的时候不清

Thanks a lot for your encouragement!
I bought a book "Obsessive Love: When it Hurts too much to Let Go" by Susan
Forward. It's a very good book talking about obsession and compulsive
behavior in relationships. After reading the book I thought that my issue
isn't bad compared to the cases that she mentioned. I didn't do intensive
pursuing, other annoying or destructive things to the guy. So I just need to
realize that the relationship is over and he won't come back no matter how
much I think abou

试着做点儿别的事情转移注意力，出去走走，旅游。每次尝试不想他10分钟，然后20分
钟，然后不断延长，努力把注意力集中放在其他的某件事情上。
