傅聪论莫扎特
贾宝玉+孙悟空=莫扎特
我没有资格评价莫扎特,我曾经说过这样一句话——《与傅聪谈音乐》里引了这句话,在
上海音乐学院讲学时说的——贾宝玉加孙悟空就是莫扎特。那么我在这儿需要解释一下,
为什么我说他是贾宝玉加孙悟空呢?
第一,莫扎特是赤子之心,那种赤子之心有一种博爱,在他的音乐里有一种大慈大悲,就
像贾宝玉。莫扎特写歌剧,他在歌剧作曲家里是绝无仅有的。莫扎特只有一个,永远不可
能再重复出现。他是那么地洞察人间,对人的理解真是到了最细微之处,就像那个贾宝玉
对红楼梦里那么多角色都理解。贾宝玉能理解每一个人,永远都不做对这个好,对那个不
好的事。贾宝玉有的时候有反抗,莫扎特也有。莫扎特曾经反抗沙茨伯拉主教——非常激
烈的反抗。他有一股非常骄人的傲气,可是他有同情心,对每个人的心理都有深切的体贴
和体会。他在歌剧里所写的每一个角色,就像《红楼梦》里的每一个角色,性格特征非常
明显,你不用读完全部内容,不必看人物的名字,你只看对白就知道是谁说的。莫扎特歌
剧都是这样的。所以说在莫扎特的歌剧里头,即使是最平凡的人物,所安排的音乐也是美
得不得了,而且适合这个人物,完全契合角色的感觉,

Actually, most historians don't believe Salieri killed Mozart. BTW,
Salieri is not so bad an composer, he maintained a rather amiable
personal relationship with Amadeus.
That's true that Mozart's characters are developed so well, but
I think Lorenzo da Ponte should get some credits, and
Beaumarchais.

This statement is far-reached, at least, some kind of a joke? Or with
some Chinese Chauvnism proud or hubris?
Is this Mr. Fu a Chinese expert on Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart? This statement
can ruin his scholarship.

傅雷家书里有一段对莫扎特的评论(好像是傅雷译的),写得非常好:
莫扎特的作品不像他的生活,而像他的灵魂
....
他从来没有把他的艺术来作为倾吐心腹的对象,也没有用他的艺术给我们留
下一个证据,让我们知道他的苦难,他的作品只表现他长时期的耐性和天使
般的温柔.他把他的艺术保持着笑容可掬和清明平静的面貌,决不让人生的考验
印上一个烙印,决不让眼泪把他沾湿.他从来没有把他的艺术当作愤怒的武器,

it is a historical fact that Salieri did not kill Mozart. Salieri
was a notable composer at his time, though Mozart did not quite
like him (which was expressed in his private letters), but Haydn
and Beethoven were in good terms with him. Salieri conducted Haydn's
Creation before the composer's last public appearance.

Those comments are quite bizarre. Most of Mozart's music are blithe,
jovial, that誷 his style. Mozart himself is a jolly guy, joking around with
friends, enjoys parties, drinking, and masquerades. It is very hard to
image such a guy would be the one who "putting wrath into his works". His
operas are opera buffa, not opera seria, that誷 also his style. Of course, i
n his operas, you can see some degree of social critics, but that can be
attributed to Beaumarchais's heritage. However, it is preponde

mostly agree. the style of Mozart's composition matches his personality
very much. but the temperament of an artist does not necessarily decide
how others at a later age feel his works. in Mozart's era, most
music compositions sound just like Mozart's style, joyful, evenly,
harmonious, even Mozart's late works, which sounds perfectly elegant
to nowaday audience, have some unpleasant disturbances to his contemporaries.
so art forms play a very important role in expressing and feeling one's
works.
