i would repeat my recommendation - 《Godfather》
full of dialogs, and the plot is interesting enough.

I was gonna recommend Douglas Adams too! Funniest books ever!
And have you read his Dirk Gently's Holistic Detective Agency yet? Funny, for
sure, but much more complicated than HGTTG series. I have read it for 3 times
but still some details are not very clear.
Anyway, for Douglas Adams starters, read Hichhiker's Guide!

Read a few pages. It's amazing the author talks about his miserable
(often hungry) childhood in a lighthearted tone. One wonders what
sustained the Irish people in those days. Good reading.
