camera work, rich colors and beautiful use of light. great costumes. can
understand griet's love and intimacy with art, it is a very complex feeling
she has, and that goes into the painting. :)) colin firth is adorable in it,
them brit actors can really be the background that set off their actresses.
not playing against them at all. i find it very touching. :) as to

not playing against them at all.
DEPENDS. Alan Rickman, Colin Firth, their nature seems to be the background.
Liam Neeson could be. Jude Law, NEVER, he is so striking.

depends. jude law didn't strike me as striking.
i sincerely thought some brit actors could not only be good background for
actress but for the whole story even the time when they were the leading
roles.
kinda charming in a passive persuasive way.

colin firth did darcy in pride and prejudice, a short british TV series. not
exactly in the background. and he did it quite well. the role just fits him
like a glove or something. to lots of british girls, he's the swooning mr.
darcy. :))

already getting gossip about that one, from some besotted colin fans. xixi. BJ
diary is really a redux of the old p&p ah. i was quite swept away by renee's
performance, her sliding down from the firemen's pole and everything, didn't
recognize it from the get-go. it's probably a lot more fun for a true jane
austen fan to watch it and catch all the nuances with delight.
oops, keep digressing aren't we. but.. it's all book-related, right?

呵呵我有这个DVD~唯一拥有的DVD~
刚开始没觉得这个P&P版本与CF演得怎么好啦~看了BJD电影起了重温P&P的心才发现很耐看
~
说起来英国人翻拍的古典小说，从Henry Fielding的Tom Jones, Jane
Austen,到Brontes,George Eliot,哈代~总有大把好看的男演员~尤其是狄更斯的,他的孤
儿们从小长到大,演员换两拨~非常养眼~;-)
我最喜欢饰小Oliver Twist的那个小家伙了,长得不如演David Copperfield与harry
potter的那个,但非常传神~;)
