This IP is related to Time Warner.
In Unix/Linux, use "nslookup".
Or, you can go to "http://www.checkdomain.com/" to check the IP.

you can use traceroute to find it out:
Unix: traceroute
Win: tracert

如果他是拨号上网，有没有办法知道
他的物理地址?

可以的，国外的你用yahoo查查，有个软件可以把路由相应的
实际地理位置标出，它有个数据库，可能有的ip会查不到地理
位置，国内的也有人写过类似东东。

这网站很COOL
但是对于拨号上网的动态地址(不
包括专线) 还是没办法

怎么查？关键字是什么？

i missed the orignial discussion. IP is a fixed solution, it is allocated
topologically you can check it out from the path of the routes.
However, if the person is using Mobile IP, you lose track :)

http://www.IANA.org/ try to check ba, i am not sure
usually just tracert to the destination and figure out where the
last a couple of hops are... if that IP has a domain that would be great.
but sometime, you just don't get clue, for example, some ISP maybe a
country wide, they may have same class IP, but used in different locations.
So it is hard to figure out the geographic location of certain node.
do u mind give the IP and I can have a try
