我这么几项
Cash/Money Accounts 20,0000
Pending Activity (Cash/Security) 10,000
Priced Investments 20,000
Margin Balance -10,000
股票买后三天settle.然后钱去哪里了呢?
我问这问题是因为我所有的卖的股票都settle了,现在的股票都是不能Marginable的.
为什么我的cash/money account有钱,给自动存成ML DIRECT DEPOSIT PROGRM
我怎么就收到maintenance call了呢?
我的cash/money account根本没用啊?

非常上火好几次了.都是cash/money accounts有钱,就是显示我的margin是负的.这样就
charge我Margin interest.真不要脸啊.

买股票不是从我的cash account出钱,而是显示我借margin

This paragraph is from the above link from Fidelity:
A margin debit indicates the amount you owe Fidelity based on margin trade
executions. If there is cash in your Core, a journal would take place on
settlement date to reduce this debit balance. If there was not enough cash
in the Core, you would start paying margin interest on this value at
settlement.

我的钱早settle了.
ML把我的cash存成money market了,不算cash
然后我就得用margin.已经2天了,还没从money market把钱转出来去填margin,
又没有自己转的选项.
它计算FME的时候不把money market的value算进去.真是无奈啊.
因为money market是作为equity来算的.每股1块钱.自己抵消.
就不能用Margin account只买3块以下股票,买了就得到maintenance call.
刚打电话问了.money market 在margin是负的时候自动转过去,需要4天时间.在这四天
里我要被收margin interest.

So your sales were already settled and the money is put into money market
account. That's not the issue. Now, did you then buy 20k worth of stocks? If
so, the purchases would settle on T+3, which is the 4th day if you count
trade date as 1st day. On t+0, t+1, and t+2, your margin account will show -
20k. But no interest should be charged, because you only pay money for those
stocks on t+3. On t+3, aka the 4th day, money is out of the money account
and paid out to the seller. At that time your margin account should balance
to 0.
Also it seems from your description on your first post, you also are going
to have another 10k extra cash by then. The 10k should go into money market
account before that.

Also, this is how it works for my Fidelity and TD Ameritrade accounts. Even
though I have margin accounts, I just don't use margin normally. In addition
, weekend and holidays are not counted when we talk about T+?. T+3 could be
next Wed if the trade date is on Friday. There is also one trade day which
is not a settlement date. I think it's Black Friday but I'm not positive
about that.
