My accountant is talking about taking deduction for the mileages incurred
going to and back from work. Is this normally a deductible unreimbursed
business expense on line 21 of form A (itemized deduction)?
Since my family drives a long way to go to work, this could make a big
difference even if just using the standard IRS mileage rate.
Advices/experiences are greatly appreciated!

gold does NOT track inflation well, btw, you can't eat physical gold, you
can't drink physical gold, and exchanging it for food and water will be a
very bad deal. Do you really want to set yourself up like that?

不是说长期来看黄金是升值的吗？
我的印象，黄金有很好的流动性，很容易变现或抵押，人类有历史以来就这样

投资，你打算投资多少？几千几万的小打小闹，实物的话上local coin dealer或者
EBAY(最近用ms live cash back)买卖。
没有放家里的，多了最好存银行保险盒，一般几十刀一年。

I also think gold is not good for very long term investment.
