I can't update, it takes for ever. So I down load xcolor, pgf and beamer 3
files, they are .deb format.
But then how? Where should I put them? Just new->folders as xcolor,pgf, latex-
beamer in latextmf folder and then move them in separately? Is this right?
And then how to refresh MiKTex? I use option\refresh, but then for pdflatex
compling , it shows, can't find ***.tex (my test silde file name)? What's
wrong?

r u using miktex under windows?
go to MikTeX package manager
then install pkgs from there
