I want to learn "Operating System" by myself.
I have a book "Operating System" English book(THU's ABROAD CS TEXTBOOK) , but
it is based on MINIX.
I guess MINIX is dying.
Could someone please recommend a good OS book based on Linux,
and easy to understand, interesting to read? ( I do not like abstract and
not-understandble book,

to learn the os, the best way is to do some projects.

Who said Minix is dying, it wasn't even living before :-)
Minix did/does not play any role in commercial software market as Linix has
been trying to, its goal is to teach people how OS works underneath the hood.
If you don't know OS, Minix is a good start, because it is a simple and
complete, Linux is too big now.
The book "OS Design & Implementation" is a bible to Minix, I haven't seen any
Linux kernel book can match that quality. Linux code is lacking comments while
Minix code has plenty of in
