I think Nuclear Engineering is a very good major in US. Work less, paid more . Also, most challenging field for homeland security, and job is secured. A B.S. graduate from nuclear can make above 80000 just out of school. Ph.D. money above 6 digits starting. On the other side, E.E have too many asian students, and compete with each other, more than American, make the salary low, relatively, Especially if you work at semiconductor fabrication, etc.. high class labor and should deserve more pay.
