最近看了不少“来美十年”帖，忍不住也来BSO一下。板砖一起上，俺抗得住。
2000: 八月来美，26岁。
2000 - 2003年：念PHD,读了很多paper，越读越觉得自己不是做research的料。学校偏
僻，什么都没有，唯一的娱乐就是八十分，同时十分enjoy自己烧饭。
2003：老婆毕业，在OPT快结束的时候意外找到工作，于是下定决心放弃PHD，拿Master
找工作。大概两三个月后，找到第一份工作。从每天读paper到半夜到只上八个小时班
，从穷学生到两口子一起挣钱，日子过得十分快活。年底，偶然在电视上看到一个关于
eBay的专题，讲一些成功的seller，于是开始在eBay上倒腾。
2004：二三月份正式开始创业，到五六月份时月营业额已超过$300,000,wow,当时那个
高兴啦，感觉到年底就可以挣一个房子出来。然而，仅仅一两个月之后，产品质量，以
及poor shipping问题如滚雪球般爆发，超过30%的产品都有这样那样的质量问题或者
shipping damage，成天处理不完的顾客complaints，return rate 超过 10%, charge

破产后马上又怎么创业的，
破产没有影响吗。。
可以这样，直接从银行借钱，破产，在继续创业，借钱破产不直接赚

同问，破产后不是把自己的所有资产拿去清偿致债务吗？不会影响你和老婆的银行信用
吗？银行还会再贷款给你吗？

Does it really matter? Let's say I achieved financial freedom. Actually
after a certain point, you'll notice money is just a number. It doesn't
really affect your life that much.

1) There are many opportunities in U.S..Many people here say there are very
few chances, or at least fewer chances here than in China, which I don't

It doesn't matter. There are more chances than I can implement. I had to
drop some good ideas or put them on hold because I have to focus. I sold my
second business for the same reason. I tried almost every possible online
business models and I can tell you many of them are still good. You don't
have to be the first one, which is hard anyway, all that you have to do is
to do better than your competitors with a lower cost.

None of my family member ever done business before. My personal character
doesn't allow me to work for someone, so I had to build up something of my
own. Again, what you do doesn't really matter, be better than your
competitor is the key.

但是你申请amex的公司信用卡的时候，是需要你个人的ssn的，不光是公司ein
新公司没有信用，amex给你信用额度，是按照你的个人记录来给的
公司破产，amex的债一定会追到你个人ssn上来

Before 2005 and 2006, Green card and a good career are easier. Most of my
friends got Green card and good jobs. A happy family needs some luck.
Just recently, the economy slowed down. And GC and career are tougher to get now.
When the good time comes, everything will be easy again. Just wait for the
good turn.
Lots of people I know got GC in 2-5 years. getting GC is not success, it is
all about luck.

Let me share some of my experiences:
1) No matter how big your company is, you can/need only manage a handful of
people. You need to make sure these people are professionals and well
motivated, and then let them do their job.
2) Make detailed plans. Numbers on key matrices of your business must be
clearly set and adjusted yearly, quarterly, and monthly. Again, let your
professionals make the plans, you review and approve it. The purpose is to
let them own it.

从开始创业到08年，白天要去公司上班，晚上要照顾自己的生意，一天工作十七，八个
小时，除了吃饭，睡觉就是工作，感觉有做不完时事。现在终于经济完全自由，每天上
班不超过四小时。

基本没说到什么实质性的东西，譬如这个生意到底是什么？
不会是倒腾中国的假冒名牌吧？我以前的一个亲戚就做这个，确实来钱。
能雇佣60个人的公司规模是很大的了，比很多IT startup 强很多，这个就很可疑了。
我相信勤奋是成功的条件，但我同时相信这个世界能人很多，奇迹是不可能的。

these's always something in my life that only lp and parents can be trusted,
taking care of a new born is one of them.

LLC　or Corporation? You know they cost money, right?
2) Without Green card, you can form a corporation?

What's point to check whether it is true or not?
If it's true, everyone can copy his/her success?
Form a LLC　or Corporation doesn't cost that much money. Check your local
government website and they have tons of details of how to form one and how
much it costs.
Without Green card, one can register a corporation. Again, check your local
government website for all the required documents.

I did a lot of reading, research, and trail between late 04-06. I used to
follow very closely with many discussion forums such as webmasterworld.com
to get me on the edge of the Internet world. I studied top 50 money making
sites on CJ(commission junction) and Linkshare. I created shopping
comparison, deal, coupon, content, dating sites during that period of time.
I am still getting money from these sites even though I haven't maintained
them

I dont know why people are so serious about if the things are true or not. I
really think it opens my mind a lot and answers some questions kept in my
mind. One good thing about the argument: I learn more from both sides, even
some of info may not be right or don't fit my situation, I need to figure
out my own way anyway.

as Kiyosaki's series. BUT, how many people really DID it and make those
theories true? I think this is the key points in terms of his succeeds. I
can imagine how hard to practice and execute it instead of talking about
bit theory. His BSO is such a inspiration that How he did it or what he is
doing really doesn't matter.

But how do you know he really did what he said?? I can spend 10 minutes
to write a much more inspiring story. But what's the point? It gives
you a dream so you can be happier? You don't know what he did and how
he did it, and you feel inspired?? wake up, you live in a real world and
you face real problems. Success is never about somebody has done it or
not, we all know somebody has done it. Success is about a thousand issues
here and there you have to solve along your road to your target.

有意思，lz一方面显得对online business有些理解，也贴了google ecommerce
tracking的数据。不过两次发帖子连到底那年第一次开始创业失败都搞不清楚？
另外，做过ebay的人不少，第一次刚开始2，3个月就能月营业额上30万刀的，俺只能是佩服的五
体投地.......lz是不世出的商业奇才啊。。。。

我是2000年来的，来的时候带了15，000刀。奖学金除生活费还剩1000刀。感觉比国内
强多了。生活从来不是问题，就是找不到吃的，玩的。学校偏僻，什么都没有，唯一的
娱乐就是八十分。3年后毕业很快找到工作，生活又上了一个台阶。05年开始创业，第
一次创业维持了几个月，以失败告终到，公司倒闭，欠AE，Fedex 几万刀，上法庭申请
破产，处理不完的顾客complaint, 有一段时间心灰意冷，天天躲在家里没曰
