我问一个人能不能给我email一篇文章。他向我说明了为什么不能现在马上给我寄过来
，然后说：I’ll just send you the next draft when it’s ready, ok?
我听了怎么象是大人跟小孩说话。感觉很奇怪。

Yeah, it's a little weird but I had to know the context though.

He has a new paper to publish. It was talked about briefly during
yesterday's meeting. So I asked him if he would mind show me.

That I guess you had to talk with your boss earlier than later. They might
have moved their mind to a different,
(better?) plan if you don't talk with them earlier enough. Def ask maybe you could even get a place in authorship.

That's the correct answer. After you get rid of the "ok",'the whole setense
just seemed so plausible and easier to read.

I think so too. Th e"ok" makes the whole sentence wield.

The ok doesn't make a bit " weird", like i said you have to look into the context. By not looking, you might
just wire sth unrelated to the topic. Like i said, ask earlier, my second boss
dosent like anything changed after decisions
are made, and he had a habit of having some early meetings like something
before 2 o clock , anything later than he'd
get not so happy, and that's understandable.
