winXP is the most stable windows version. it's very rare
the whole system gets crashed.

I heard and feel winxp is not as stable as win2k.

win xp pro is more comfortable than 2k from my experience.
i don't call it reliable.
reliability depends on how you define it.
both xp pro and 2k pro are not very easy to die
but i feel 2k IE is easier to crash and lots of other things.
i feel xp pro is more comfortable.

Windows XP什么都有，号称兼容稳定和娱乐性于一体，
各种硬件也包括，这种大的集成多半是以牺牲稳定性为
前提的，我感觉win2000还是win系列中最稳定的。
win2000的IE比XP的要好得多。我使用时一般开十个左右得窗口，
好像从来没有死过。

Blue screen used to happen when there is hardware conflict. Have you ever
bought some cheap hardware such as memory?
After my coworker replace the cheap memory in his 8250, no blue screen problem
any more. He is very very happy with the XP.
