it is on a NTFS partition?
Change owner first then change permission.
right click the folder, properties/security/advanced/owner, in "change owner
to:", click the current logined user. check "replace owner on subcontainers
and objects", then apply, now u r the owner of this folder.
click ok to exit the dialog.
then right click again, properties/security/add..., add the current user
ur current user should have administrator privilege.
this is for win2000, winXP should be quite similiar.
